Opa Maurits celebrated his 76th birthday, selamat! We went out for dinner to a Japanse restaurant where a private Malaysian cook prepared the food at our table, really nice. Menno may have a picture. Or 2.

Real Ferrari Enzo
Not a day goes by without Vincent talking about his Enzo. And he wants to have a real one. Of course. Time and time again he's behind his computer screen, watching Tiff Needell taking an Enzo around the Autodromo circuit. Comparing his own car to Tiff's and dreaming of a real one...

Lens
Yep, Menno's bitten by the digicam bug. Now that he has a D70s he will be thinking in terms like F-stop, shutterspeed, ISO, aperture, metering, bracketing, whitebalance, exposure... And he will only look at the world through his 18-70 lens ;-)

Iraq
Just found out about another Roumimper cousin living in the United States. Pam Eisenberg-Roumimper told me that her brother Rick Roumimper is in Iraq with the US military army. He writes amazing stories about what is really happening out there in his online journal on

Warriors
Look at Noa and Vincent in full fighting gear. This is the bit of frightening the enemy and scaring him away by looking dangerously. This part is obviously won by Noa, while Vincent has to work on his improvement opportunities. That smile is not gonna scare anyone away, indian nor knight.

Skating
Vincent went skating for the first time, which he unfortunately seemed to like. Common, let's face it: a proper Indo avoids cold and ice in favor of palmtrees and coconuts.

Encyclopedia
Opa is reading the encyclopdia with Vincent, desperatly as much as fruitlessly trying to get Vincent interested in any non-car subject.

Hero Mike
Vincent has a new hero: Mike Verlinden, arguably an even bigger car nut than his own self. First we went to the karting track to see Mike win the race, while this was only his first drive ever. Then we went home to do some Remote Control racing, Enzo vs 206. This was followed by an overdose of Topgear, hosted by now formerly best friend Jeremy.
Finally, the day was ended with some hefty Need for Speed computer racing, GT1 vs Moby Dick. Naturally, after such an exciting car car car day, Vincent officially declared Mike to be his new hero.

Christmas with the Jansens
