Oma Nel Peilow passed away...

On Sunday 12 February 2006 Oma Nel Peilow passed away, at the age of 93, in her home in Jakarta, Indonesia. Our families are linked through the friendship of Oma Hedwig's parents with Oma Nel and Opa Max Peilow. Following their close friendship on the tennis court, they promised to take care of eachother's children should anything happen during the war. Oma Nel and Opa Max kept their promise and took care of Oma Hedwig. Our families have been close ever since, the Peilows have regularly visited us in the Netherlands and the Roumimpers were always welcome in Indonesia.

Opa Maurits happened to be in Sukabumi, so he and oom Cobus were able to attend the funural, representing the Roumimper family. We will cherish the memories of Oma Nel and are grateful to have known her.

Dingin

It's way too cold here in Holland, so Opa Maurits is going back to Indonesia again for another 2 months. But not before pointing out on the atlas where exactly he's going.
