Hoera, we have a new nephew! Ruben was born on 31 December 2006, son of Monique and Menno and brother of Joas and Marise.
Opa will have to buy an even larger table, from now on it's 15 persons for Sunday evening dinners ;-)

Lens
Yep, Menno's bitten by the digicam bug. Now that he has a D70s he will be thinking in terms like F-stop, shutterspeed, ISO, aperture, metering, bracketing, whitebalance, exposure... And he will only look at the world through his 18-70 lens ;-)

Hedwig Jeanne Marise
We have a new niece: Hedwig Jeanne Marise, born on 11 August 2004. We call her Marise and she is the daughter of Monique and Menno, named of course after her
Oma Hedwig. Joas already predicted it would be a girl and his wishes came true, he now has a pretty little sister.

mr. M.R. Paats
Today uncle Menno graduated from lawschool. Finally he finished his studies at Leiden University and received his degree. Here he is in 'Het Zweetkamertje', were in the early days, students had to sit and wait while the professors were deciding whether they would pass or fail the student. Of course the student would sweat a lot, as Menno did during his studies. Nowadays it is a tradition to straight after graduation go to 'Het Zweetkamertje' to put your signature on the wall.
