Old picture
Look at the old picture we found, don't you remember the round table with extendable middle part, the table cloth that we had forever and of course the cup and saucers that were a wedding present, only to be used for special occasions...

Bandung school pictures
Opa Maurits found some old school pictures. These are from the H.B.S., Bilitonstraat in Bandung, Dutch Indisch. It is the 3rd grade class and these pictures was taken in May 1949.

www.Schoolbank.nl is a nice website with information about schools in the Netherlands including former Dutch colonies. You might find back some old friends there...

Oldest family picture
This is probably the oldest family picture we have. Most likely it was taken around 1914 on the porch of the old family house in Surabaya, Dutch-Indies. When we went back to Indonesia we visited one of the old houses in Surabaya where the family used to live, it may have been this house. Sitting in the back is Theodorus Gruwel, the Opa of Vincent's Oma, like so:

Girls
Here is an old picture of Oma Hedwig and Tante Edith when they were young girls, together with 2 others. The picture was taken on 29 May 1954 in Surabaya, Dutch Indies.

Horse
Another old picture, this time it is Tante Edith riding a horse and Oma Hedwig walking next to the horse, together with two others maybe the Peilow tantes? On the back it is written that this picture was taken during a holiday in Bandung, 10 July 1955.
